Privacy policy
Pageless for Android (com.yannkost.launcher) · Effective 14 October 2026
- Pageless has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Your setup stays on your phone. We don’t collect it, and we never sell or share data.
- The only network use is fetching the title and icon of links you choose to save, from those sites themselves.
Who we are
Pageless is an Android home screen app developed by Yann Kost (“we”). This policy explains what Pageless does with information on your phone. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@pageless.space.
Information that stays on your phone
To work as your home screen, Pageless uses the following. It is stored only in Pageless’s private storage on your phone and is not sent to us or anyone else:
- Your installed apps. Pageless reads the names and icons of apps that can be opened, so it can list them. It does not read the content of other apps.
- Your setup. Layout, style, categories, favourites, quick actions, hidden apps, saved links and other settings.
- Launch counts. How often you opened each app through Pageless, used only for the “Most used” order. Pageless does not ask for Android’s usage access and doesn’t know about apps opened another way.
- A background photo, if you choose one. You pick it with Android’s photo picker, and Pageless keeps its own copy. It doesn’t have access to the rest of your photos.
Notification dots (optional)
If you allow Notification access, Pageless learns which apps currently have unread notifications, so it can show a dot on their icons. It never reads, stores or sends what the notifications say, and nothing about your notifications leaves your phone. You can turn this off in Pageless’s settings or in Android’s Notification access settings at any time.
Saved links and the internet
When you save a link, Pageless loads that page once, directly from the site, to read its title and icon. That site receives the same kind of request a browser would send, including your IP address, and its own privacy policy applies. Pageless uses no third-party icon service and contacts no server of ours. If you turn the Links panel off, Pageless makes no internet requests at all.
Purchases
Pageless Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details under the Google Privacy Policy. Pageless only receives whether you own Pageless Pro, and stores that answer on your phone so Pro also works offline. The 7-day trial is measured on your phone from when you installed Pageless.
Backups
- Android backup. If backup is on in your phone’s settings, Android may include Pageless’s setup and background photo in your Google account backup, so they come back on a new phone. This is managed by Android and Google, and you control it in your phone’s settings.
- Export setup. If you export your setup, Pageless writes a file to the place you choose, such as your Downloads folder or a cloud drive. What happens to that file is up to you.
Permissions
- Home app role: so Pageless opens when you press Home.
- Notification access (optional): for notification dots, as described above.
- Internet: only to fetch titles and icons of links you save.
- Request to uninstall apps: only opens Android’s own confirmation when you choose Uninstall on an app.
- Google Play billing: to offer the Pageless Pro purchase.
Children
Pageless is not directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly handle personal information from them.
Deleting your data
Everything Pageless stores is on your phone. To delete it, clear Pageless’s storage in Android’s app settings or uninstall Pageless. To remove a backup, manage backups in your Google account or phone settings. Purchase records are kept by Google Play.
Changes
If Pageless’s handling of data changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change reaches the app.
